one day at a time

To Space and Time,

You are the only silent friends that I have left. Today, I start my day with sadness in my heart. I tried taking a good picture but my eyes  reflect a wounded soul. It never occured to me that love and hurt can affect you in the same way. More dangerous than a physical wound like an angel that lost its will. Distance makes the heart grow fonder but it also makes your soul weak. Misunderstandings take its toll no matter how good your intentions. As far as my strength can carry me and the inspiration from family, I will see the day with the same earness to be of service. It would have been better if you get more inspired but you cannot will another force especially of another dimension. The years have taught me lessons but moreso it taught me to trust no one. I wish Space to give me the peace of solitude and Time to ease my pain. Love is a gift, a companion and a mystery I cannot comprehend. I pray to my divine savior. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

inspiring thoughts from the past

I Love Thee
by Eliza Acton, 1799-1859.

I love thee, as I love the calm
    Of sweet, star-lighted hours!
I love thee, as I love the balm
    Of early jes’mine flow’rs.
I love thee, as I love the last
    Rich smile of fading day,
Which lingereth, like the look we cast,
    On rapture pass’d away.
I love thee as I love the tone
    Of some soft-breathing flute
Whose soul is wak’d for me alone,
    When all beside is mute.

I love thee as I love the first
    Young violet of the spring;
Or the pale lily, April-nurs’d,
    To scented blossoming.
I love thee, as I love the full,
    Clear gushings of the song,
Which lonely–sad–and beautiful–
    At night-fall floats along,
Pour’d by the bul-bul forth to greet
    The hours of rest and dew;
When melody and moonlight meet
To blend their charm, and hue.
I love thee, as the glad bird loves
    The freedom of its wing,
On which delightedly it moves
    In wildest wandering.

I love thee as I love the swell,
And hush, of some low strain,
Which bringeth, by its gentle spell,
    The past to life again.
Such is the feeling which from thee
    Nought earthly can allure:
‘Tis ever link’d to all I see
    Of gifted–high–and pure!

the future is a decision of the past

Monday, August 24, 2009

The future is a glimpse of the desicions we take. It is a dream you envision. It is the strength you build upon. It is the courage you wish to have in the present.

The future tells the truth of your being. It is the home you can build. It is the testimony of a life started. It is the celebration you wish to have with your loved ones.

The future is your love. It can make you happy, it can make you sad. It is a roller coaster journey that makes you want to jump out when it plunges from the highest peak. It is the consoling hand that will not let you go.

The future is a trust you have to take. Soon, the journey will end and peace will prevail.
