scattered bits

Today in BBC aired the global food shortage. I wonder what it must be like to run out of food. Rice sellers in India where doubling the price. She said she cannot afford but to go to the black market where vendors claimed to have enough supply for everyone. There were riots in Haiti due to lack of corn and beans. Can the world catch up even if they do massive agricultural reforms? What would happen to the people who only get to eat once in a day? Are there enough cassava flour to last a week? Will agri products be in abundance over night? This is the plague we kept anticipating at the back of our heads and hoping it will not come but yes it is here… Surprisingly, it came with other companions.

Crisis has bloomed all over the world. Recessions in the US. Global fuel on the rise. War in Iraq. Chinese empire on the race. Rice shortage rumor in the Philippines. Celebrities on the eye. All of which came to take the prize unless we realize we need to give something back to Life itself. It is about time to not ask what the country or the WORLD can give to you but what you can give back to the WORLD.  Let us respect nature as should be and not abuse its resources. Hey, let’s even start counting what we owe Nature. The food that we ate, the water that we used, the air that we breathe, the people we hurt or owe our lives from, or even the flowers that we picked. It is one big circle that should roll in harmony but has taken the wrong turn. We have got to stop this and forgive ourselves for taking things for granted…

Can we not get a shovel and be our own farmers? Jesus Christ left us with a powerful spell. He has protected us from the Evil one so we too can carry our duties - to live with Him and follow his teachings. He also knew it will not be easy but he has withstand until the end. This too He says will pass. We have to endure and see the light as we live in darkness. Together, we can use our lights to brighten the night. In our hearts, Harmony is easy to spell but hard to pronounce. Who can we count on?

The non-believers will always have something to say but nothing to do. They should learn to hear the silence of the  believers. Plant the seed, water it and see it grow as the sun shines over it. Nature still stand a ChAnce. It is never too late to act different and save the World.
