Wow, big 10 passed. Many moments happened in those years. Perfect moments that lead me to where I am now. No regrets, for those were the times that nurtured my strength, in thoughts and in Spirit. I couldn’t ask for more.
Today, I begin another decade with anticipation and excitement. Although you cannot see what is at stake but something is there to be hopeful. Like how Max Ehrmann puts it, “With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.”
It’s good to travel this world and feel every moment. Cherish and carry the good things you encounter for these are the treasures you need, to go back home to our Paradise.
Great Fr. Denny! Maybe when you’re finished, I can also relax and enjoy the slow breeze of academic life. Only if that is possible.
Hi Mau,
Posted by Denny, SJ at August 1, 2005, 11:12 amInitially, I couldn't figure out what you meant by the big 10. After I saw your picture with the St. Ignatius honorees, I realized that you were referring to the ten years you have been working at the Ateneo de Zamboanga. I honestly didn't realize that it has been ten years.
I guess that ten years (minus the years you spent in masteral studies and the years I spent outside Zamboanga) of working with you have been so pleasant that I hardly noticed that ten years have passed.
I look forward to working with you as soon as I finish my studies here.
